Its location was stunning, really close to Kemptown, The Lanes & North Laine easy walking distance as well as Brighton & Hove buses. Also, it was close to Sea Life Brighton Aquarium.

Efficient and excellent staff, couldn't ask for more. The location turned out to be excellent and unbeatable, so close to Brighton, perfect location, a very high cost, and regards parking. Also, North Laine was at a short distance.

Not much, apart from ok breakfast,so we checked out after 2 days. The hotel is a combination of old buildings, full of small and awkward staircases. The first room we were shown was an old-fashioned single room with a double bed. We refused this room and were offered their best room "as a gesture of goodwill", which we rated as fair. The en-suite had a very tiny sink, only good to wash hands. The shower head had half the holes blocked, and the razor socket didn't work. Similarly the spotlights above the mirror and one bedside light did not work. The carpet was stained, and there was no double glazing on the old sash windows, hence the 24 hour traffic and tourist noise could be heard constantly. We moved to the Premier Inn after the weekend, which was basic, but 100% better.

My bed was super comfy and the attached funky fish night club was a fabulous fun night out without breaking the bank on drinks prices. The hotel was generally very welcoming to groups, even stag/hen nights. The view from one of the rooms was a superb seaview looking towards the pier. Also good breakfast which was very welcome the next morning!

easy access to centre
Wifi was very slow or not working for all . I was there for business so having access to good wifi was important to me

We had a really nice room overlooking the pier, which was a nice surprise because we were told we had city views.
To be fair, the hotel was undergoing renovation so it was a bit chaotic. The breakfast service was poor - it was busy for sure, but when I heard one waitress blame the fact that they only had one cook I did think 'Maybe you should have hired another one then'.

The location is fantastic, right by the sea. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but it was excessively hot and stuffy in August were nice. Breakfast wasn't appealing as it came with an extra fee, so I opted to enjoy options like artisanal bread at nearby cafes. The staff stood out for their friendliness and helpfulness, one of the highlights of my visit.

We thought that the staff were very polite, chatty and accommodating. The room was clean and adequate although we did move some furniture around so that we wouldn't keep banging our head on the window recess which was at an angle becasue the ceiling sloped.
The only thing I can comment on is that there was no plug for the wash basin, which isn't a big deal considering the v low price we paid for the room.

This hotel is in a prime location near the pier with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The building work noise was disruptive and the décor feels outdated. Breakfast was decent but not really good, and parking can be tricky due to limited spaces.
